saturdays are fun! at least the saturdays in march are! =D saturdays are all about food!
saturday, 12 March 2011 went to watch emily with emarald hill with maureen and kai... have been wanting to watch this for the longest time.. since this is considered one of the classics (?) of singapore theatre...

i didn't realise that female impersonation was a wayan peranakan tradition.. this show actually reflects the life of the peranakans, their period of glory and their demise through the life of emily.. i like how they have injected audience interaction into some parts of the play so naturally. it was worth my $82 after emily, we went to eat the japanese buffet at himawari japanese restaurant...

it's located at a quaint old place (read:
ulu) in telok blangah.. but it was fully booked all the same.. the sashimi was shioks! could just go on eating the sashimi forever...
saturday, 19th march 2011 foodies monthly outing: old airport road hawker centre this place is famed for their good and affordable food we 分工合作and bought all the delicious food for sharing maureen, your "business" is doing better and better wor! my first outing with you all only got like 10 pple..this time round we had 20! logistics nightmare for you i believe..hehe

美食当前谁能抵挡!
phototaking is a must before every meal..even the little girl (sherry) was influenced by the adults! hehe this old girl here was just waiting to eat...LOL
say cheese!
after that went to my ah gong's hse...
supposed to go to lim chu kang cemetry for my ahma's death anniversary
after that, we went back to my ahgong's house for another eating galore!
my aunties are simply amazing!
they went to japan. they just checked in when the earthquake struck. and they continued staying there.
they managed to go shopping.
they came back with 1 burberry blue label bag each and also some stuff for us (me got a hairband and a dress!)
they managed to eat delicious sushi.
they were describing the taste of the hotate sushi to us.
S0oo soft....simply melts in your mouth.....simply yummy!
they managed to buy back lotsa goodies.
they went all the way to yokohama to buy the tidbits..lots and lots of them.
to quote them: "我们冒着生命的危险去买这些回来给你们吃!”(jokingly of cos!) LOL
in fact the picture above shows the 2nd round of eating already..
then they finally 舍得come back..
to quote my auntie:
"我们该看的也看了,该吃的也吃了,该买的也买了,钱也花光了,所以甘愿回来了."
i simply <3 this..
the packaging is so pretty!
the biscuit is so yummy!
malacca trip in the next post! =D
