Oh gosh!
havent blogged for more than 1 month!!
hahaha
that's a record breaker for me!!
initially i was just plain lazy...
n i had nothing much to blog about..
given that i don't have such an exciting life
hahaha
there were times when i logged in
den i logged out again coz i thot my tv shows were more exciting
wahahaha
ok...here comes the month of november and part of december...
20 november 2009
celebrated michelle's 23rd birthday at crazy monkey or something like tt...it's the place where kumar performs..u all know who's kumar rite? OMG if u all don't know him! hahahaha
anyway we din stay to watch kumar perform coz we thot it was too late ans too expensive..but the food there is really pretty decent...
it's at orchard towers..so if u gers wanna go i suggest u all go in the early part of the evening..given its not so good reputation...u all know golden landmark right? orchard towers is abt the same la..hahaha after eating we were a bit shocked to see so maaany men standing outside orchard towers...how do peope work there mans! totally cannot OT one lor...haha
then over the hari raya haji long weekend, tagged along with ek's colleagues and their other halves/friends to a short trip to malacca..somehow along the way i became the "other half" of ek...hahaha didn't help that i shared a bed with ek...
anyways, malacca was filled to the max with humans, humans and more humans...it was altho the whole of kuala lumpur-ians were in KL with so many KL carplates there..not to mention singaporeans..n everyone else..and because it was the hari raya haji long weekend, the traffic there was madness...jammed, jammed, jammed! luckily we were staying in quite a centralised location, so we walked to wherever we wanted to go...yes, the only time we took the public transport was to take a cab from the bus terminal to our hotel..haha
our hotel
the inside of it looks like a set out of little nonya..
haha
humans!
more humans!
and generally if i go malaysia, all i do is to eat...so we ate and we ate and we ate...
at 3+, 4+ we ate this..chicken rice balls! supposed to be quite famous...loooong queue..ermz pardon me for saying so..i prefer our normal plate of chicken rice to the chicken rice balls..i thot the garlic taste was too strong for my liking...and i don't chicken rice with mushy rice..haha
at 4+ or 5+ we walked to palawan (not the beach at sentosa, a shopping centre there) to eat some more!
they sell...
mille crepes!!
these are heavenly...20 layers of light japanese crepe with cream? in between the layers...and the top layer is caramelised..so when poke ur fork through u will hear a light cackling of the caramel top and you will see the cream oozing out from the layers...and when u bite into them, they are so light that they almost melt in your mouth (ok tt's an exaggeration, they didn't melt..but u get the idea..) hahaha delicious! first time i tried it...so when i got back home i googled for mille crepes to see if we had any in singapore...and..i found it!!
Classic Cakes
41 Sunset Way#01-06
Clementi Arcade
Singapore 597071
Telephone: 6762-8019
but..each slice is like $6.60 and a 1.5kg mille crepe cost $66...faintx! so heavy on the wallet..and soo faaar! ermz anyone willing to sponsor?? hehe *blinks blinks*

mille crepe with berries...ek n i were quite happy that my raspberry chocolate didn't come..hahaha coz this berry one and her original one tasted so much better..ek! good! u got foresight! hahaha
then after eating the mille crepe, we went to walk along jonker street pasar malam...gasps! so many people..and along the way we ate more food..those street food la...hahaha
den around 8+ we went to eat satay celup...ya we walked...i mentioned earlier that we didn't take any public transport right? haha

it's like steamboat on sticks..and instead of the usual steamboat soup base, they use the satay sauce...yummy!! they do have the usual steamboat soup base in some other shops also la..but satay celup more interesting ma..sometimes i think going to these kind of places with people who know the area or have friends who know the area is so much better...hahaha
ya..ek and polished off like 1 whole plate of cockles (like maybe 10 sticks?)among ourselves...*gasps! hep B!! haha*experimenting with the correct time to cook the cockles to the optimum level of done-ness..hahahaha

ek with the number of sticks that she ate...think she ate a lot??
i ate more than her...oops! couldn't find a nice pix of myself with the sticks, so ya..no picture of me...hehehe
so within 6 hours of our arrival in malacca we ate like 3 meals..wahahaha
actually we also ate chendol (go malacca how can don't eat chendol with their gula malacca drizzled on top?woo~~) at some cafe along jonker street..but a bit disappointing, so didn't bother posting the pix..haha
the next day, the breakfast was a hotel breakfast (quite good hor, the room was only RM90 for 2 persons, still got breakfast..haha) so nth much...

for lunch we had their....

nonya laksa...damn spicy...not bad la..but tooo spicy for me..
after tt we ate their chendol..too excited! forgot to take pictures i think...tasted so much better mans!!
actually i'm not a very chendol kind of person coz i don't like red beans..ya i also don't like ice kacang and such...but that one was really good! the gula melaka made such a HUGE difference! hahaha
of course we didn't forget to camwhore...we really loved this setting...with the sunset in the background and the huge junk boat which is actually a musuem..but who cares about the musuem...hahaha
just a random picture of the church on top of the hill..st paul's church? aiya tt church lor..everybody go malacca also go there de...i was ouch-ing here there everywhere when climbing up the steps..because before i went to malacca i had a personal training session..so ya..muscle ache plus lotsa walking...OUCH! hahaha
but i like it coz it looks like it was taken in some european country..muahaha a taste of europe in malacca..well..they used to be a colony also right? hahaha
then after visiting the church and the remnants of a castle..it was almost time for us to go back to check out..act this picture was taken before the laksa picture on top..
and coz we were so fascinated..and abit tired from the walking, we took this...hahaha
so obiang one...but nevermind la..we are tourists what..imagine me sitting in it in singapore...hahahaha this is probably the only other "public" transport that we took...wahahaha

other random photo..hahaha of course it's a fake train! it's on exhibit together with an airplane and other forms of transport..hahaha
then, on the saturday that just passed, went to watch broadway beng - jiak liu lian with maureen...super entertaining...heard pretty good
reviews for the pass three seasons but ya..the last three seasons there was no one to go watch with..hiak hiak..now got ms ow who after taking a drama minor in school suddenly discovered the charms of the theatre..so i'm going to drag her to the other theatrical productions...muahahaha chicago in may next year you want? haha
anyway this broadway beng was directed by royston tan (yes! tt same royston tan that directed 881) and he got 8 chio buus whose background and accolades really surprised us..wow! got celine rosa tan..apparently she sang with kit chan, william so and fei xiang before..she also sang the pledge during national day...wow! and the broadway beng was well..super beng! haha..putting quite a twist on broadway musicals...combining it with a lot of the getai element...
after watching broadway beng..
we went to eat supper at gluttons bay...den since we were already late, we might as well go camwhore...

yup..that's me! hahaha
ok..it's now 1.22am in the morning and i need to work tomorrow...shall continue the blogging another day..ermz..if i got time and am not so lazy...
oh no! i still owe maureen her bb cream article and the calender of events...i promise i will try to give you within the week..hahaha
