hello hello!!
HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR!!!
it's not too late right??
hahaha
it's the year of the tiger!
hope it will go well for all the tigers and tigresses out there...
even though it has been said that this is not a good year for those born in the year of the tiger..
haha
hmm..how did i spend my cny?
'hibernating' at amk..
wahaha
usually my cny is not very exciting...
i don't have the gatherings with the paternal side of the family
and anw this cny started off qt badly for some of the family members
the father had fever 2 days before cny..but still had to do the cleaning of the house..
the brother also kena fever on cny's eve...he was later diagnosed to have dengue fever...damn suay...
so he spent the new year lying in bed..alternating between slping and short spans of awake-ness..hahaha
so as a result, the new year goodies at home are pretty much untouched...
n for me...i got an ulcer which couldn't recover in time for CNY...but nvm..it doesn't really matter to me..coz i will still eat what i like...but at a slooooower speed...ya slower than my usual speed..hiak hiak
then on the second day of CNY, we wanted to go visit the great-grandmother...
but when we reached her house, we were informed by the granduncle and grandauntie that great grandmother had just been sent to the hospital..coz she couldn't get up after a knock on the bedframe..*ouch*
ok i mentioned earlier that i was 'hibernating' in amk right?
it's because there was no one in my grandfather's house to take care of my grandfather...seeing that my grandfather is now a bit old and very forgetful....normally my grandfather's house got a maid and my cousins and auntie de..but every CNY my auntie will bring her children and the maid to go back to msia, her mother's house...so there wasn't anyone staying with the grandfather...
so me and my cousin volunteered to stay with our grandfather...
did i mention that the grandfather is very forgetful?
he kept forgetting that he had already given us the angbao on the first day...so on the second day..he was offering to give us angbao like every other min...
to quote my cousin, "wah! if i take all of gong gong's angbao, i can go on a holiday to europe already!"
then there was the hilarious incident of "breakfast"...which caused us to sleep for only 4hrs tt night...it's a long hilarious story...
anyway...one fine day while i was walking around in oub centre, i chanced upon this shop that sells this brand of facial care called juicebeauty
their products are like made from organic ingredients...it's not 100% la..but got 95%?
anyway..the shop lady was very nice..she gave me a sample of the blemish clearing serum and the moisturiser to try...

and i really had a breakout tt time...so i tried the blemish clearing serum...after 3 days, my skin became smooth already and the blemishes really lighten a lot..woohoo! damn happy!
but it depends on the seriousness of the breakout ba..coz now my breakout is worse than the other time..u noe combination of lack of slp, PMS and lack of water and unhealthy diet...so the breakout took longer to clear..this serum works qt well when used together with their cleansing gel...
yup act i went back to the shop intending to get the serum only..but just nice they was this last promotional pack for the serum, moisturiser, apple peel mask and cleanser..so i bought it...hehe i'm their fan now!!
then yesterday, went to watch the show "man and woman, war and peace" with maureen
after so many years since the huayi festival was inaugurated, i finally get to watch a huayi festival performance...
it's also the 1st overseas chinese theatre performance that i've seen..previously i went to watch more of the plays and productions put up by the local production houses..
so actually i can't really judge whether it's good or bad...
i can't compare it with the local performances also coz the presentation style is qt different..
for example, the theatre watching crowd in singapore is not so mature yet..so the presentation styles would have to be more localised and more 白话..to be able to relate to the audience...
but this "man and woman, war and peace" is a hong kong/taiwan theatre production, where mandarin is their main language, and their theatre watching crowd (at least for the chinese theatre) should be more mature..so their presentation style is a bit more cheem...but ok la..i still qt like it...and singapore is their last stop, so they have actually made a lot of improvisations from what they originally performed..i guess we got the essence! hahaha
ohya! we watched the matinee performance coz the night tickets were all sold out...bad move..coz we watched after lunch...we were so slpy....and the play was so loooong...200 mins leh..more than 3 hrs (excluding the intermission)!
the next few theatre performances that i want to go and watch are:
1. emily of emerald hill (performed by the original emily)
there have been many versions since the first run..and in this latest one, it will be the first and last time the original emily will perform in this emily of emerald hill...so anyone keen to watch it?
2. chicago the musical (16 apr - 9 may)
the movie is adapted from the musical...who wants to watch this? hehe
ticket price for cat 1 is $140...please please pretty please? hehe
think i'm becoming lazier and lazier to blog...
not that there's anything exciting going on in my life..
hahaha
oops! did i say this in my previous post too?
hehe
january
celebrated birthday of the january babies...
bern's bdae
went to the oriole cafe and bar at the pan pacific suites...
food's qt good..
company's good..
we were still qt hopeful when we had nearly full attendance at 5pm..
who knows hw much difference the 2 hrs make..
hahaha
anw yup
happy birthday bern!
u r the oldest!!
haha
well u can also be considered a december baby if u think if it as the lunar calender..
haha
a few days later...
we went to celebrate geri's bdae (as well her sis and bf's)...
at aloha loyang..

the chalet's HUGE!
like a bungalow like tt...
first time i go chalet i can sleep on a big bed by myself
n ya..as usual we were all late...
hiak hiak
i miss all the chalets and stayovers that we used to have last time..
unfortunately since everyone started working...
we are all too tired..
finally i can understand why when my cousins and i stay up overnight my aunties will always admit that they are old and go to sleep..
hahaha
finally got my much needed haircut!
absolutely couldn't stand my shapeless, style-less, in other words, cui tresses
on top of tt i dyed my hair!
i hardly dye my hair...but this time i was like wad the heck!
haha
the last time i dyed my hair was when i permed my hair..
that was years ago...
but apparently according to the hairstylist, there are still remnants of the dyed hair..so the hair dye was not as even as she would have liked it to be..but i can't really see the difference..hahaha
here's how i look now...well it looked better after the stylist blow the hair for me...now is i anyhow comb de..and it's after half a day of working....ya..haha

in case u r wondering..ya..i took the pix in the toilet cubicle...my office toilet cubicle has mirrors..wonderful! hahaha
den last last sunday..before i left the house, my house tv was flickering..
i was like oh no! after 2 repairs the tv's finally gonna spoil...
so as i was in bishan with maureen..we went to best denki..and coz of the electrical fair by gain city at the expo..best denki also had a sale to match the sale at the expo...so..the Sharp aquous 32" LCD TV was selling for $499...i thought that was a pretty decent offer so i bought it...(thinking that my tv would spoil soon) or at least spoil by the time they delivered it (which was 1 week later)
1 week on...my old sanyo tv was still working perfectly fine when they delivered the new tv...so now...i got this situation...

ya 2 tvs! dots...want it to spoil don't want to spoil..when don't want it to spoil it will spoil..
nvm..now we got 3 tvs in the house..1 for each person..maybe can move the small one to my room..den i can watch tv and work at the same time...if need be..muahahaha..yaya i noe i got a laptop that i can bring into the living room..but need to bring the wires along abit
mafan ma..hahaha
my last post i said i wanted to do braces right..
i went for 2 consultations..
1 at adelphi and 1 at mount elizabeth..
surprisingly mount e's one is only 200 bucks more ex than the adelphi one...and mount e's one was recommended by my auntie's fren..
and not only that...they will only take 1.5 yrs (doesn't matter ceremics or metal braces) while the adelphi will take 2yrs (metal), 2.5yrs(ceremics)...that's like a 1 yr difference for the ceremic braces leh...
so actually i was quite tempted by the mount e one...
but...
their operating hours are like totally office hours..
no way i can fit into their operating hours...
so prolly i will go for the adelphi one ba...
but i will do it after CNY..i still wanna eat my fill during CNY..hahaha
updates about my life...tt's abt all..hahaha
