wah..

my birthday is nt here yet, but i alr celebrated it twice....hehe

First celebration was at hot tomatoes at PS last last sat...

had dinner followed by clubbing (pix alr posted in the previous post) altho some of them went for a movie b4 dinner..but i couldnt join them..hehe

lemon cake frm rive gauche...they haf pretty cakes...interesting...

my birthday present!! thank you gers!!! it's frm my fave shop! wahaha i juz realised i'm holding it wrongly...the back of the bag is facing the front...so wrong lor..haha

2nd celebration on the day b4 yesterday...went kbox followed by dinner den by a movie...it has been ages since we went kbox together...den after tt went t watch a movie...i think we havent watch a movie together since after JC...tt's like really looong..hahaha

mrs field's brownie!! yummy..specially for me n jy the chocolate lovers..haha

dinner was at crystal jade korean ginseng chicken n bbq...yummy!!

the side dishes..they act have limit to the no of times u can replenish the side dishes...haix
but it was yummy all the same..the kimchi was nice!

our ginseng chicken...maureen n jy exam coming le muz eat more..give u all more energy..haha

the seafood platter of bbq...$55 can..shocking..bt it was really good..the meat was really thoroughly marinated...but cod fish doesn't look very fish looking..i thot was the nian gao initially..wahahaha

dessert! balck glutinous with vanilla ice-cream..i seriously think this is their adaptation of the pulau hitam (or bi ber).. we were actually expecting the usu watery back glutionous rice...we were so surprised tt it was solid...but it's nice all the same..it's chewy..n there's grass jelly on top...interesting...like tt cost $5 leh... how can be nt nice..haha

my birthday present!! a dress for work!! hehe good good my working clothes collection is increasing..so i dun look like i'm wearing the same thing everyday...

after tt we went to watch butterfly lovers...jy wanted to see charlene choi, maureen wanted to see wo chun...den to my surprise i saw my hu ge in the show..yay!! haha in the show hu ge acted the best i think..hehe but i was qt surprised tt he's acting as a 反派..think he's trying to get rid of his 偶像status and wan to move towards 实力派..haha i anyhow say de...sad...why isn't 胡哥the main actor... n i think charlene choi dun haf the 古装脸..haha this hsow ar...terrible leh...it feels more like the chinese version of romeo n juliet leh...n the ending ar..i dunno wad to say...haix...hahaha

den yesterday went to watch 20th century boys wif dear..nice nice the show..at first when i saw the trailer i thot was some horror movie...but act it's not..it's abt the fantasy of a young boy being fulfilled by some evil person...this is apparentlya trilogy n is one of the most expensive japanese films ever made...

den lastly i wan to finish off my post wif this pix..haha taken at hz's bdae... the caption for this on facebook by hz is 1 outing 6 cameras or sth like tt..hahaha so funny..n it's really qt hilarious tt all of us r did the same thing at the same time..of coz this pix is a reenactment..but it's real enuff..hahahaha

oh my god..the long weekend is gg to be over in a few hrs...i'm so sad...when will the next long weekend come?? sad...it juz flew past me..can't i get a full time job tt lets me work 3 days a week juz like sch...it's so depressing to have to go work everyday...hahaha act nw tt i start work i can understand why some pple would rather take a pay cut n start their own small business n be their own boss...it definitely beats having a boss who's like a roti prata...keep flipping here n there..very hard to noe wad he wants..haix

Had a busy busy saturday...

Itinerary item 1
early in the morning, my mum asked me to accompany her to kusu island
it used to be that we would go kusu island from clifford pier and take the tongkangs to kusu island
it didn't matter that the amenities weren't fantastic
but hordes of people would go there during the pilgrimage season
which is the 9th month of the lunar calender
now the boarding point is at marina south pier and the newer ferries are used
but the crowd just isn't wad it used to be..
haha
n i've only been to marina south pier 3 times
1st time to eat dinner at pier 11 which is now defunct
2nd time to take pix in my convo gown like the ones below...

and the 3rd time is to go kusu island...haha
it's like so expensive now...
$16 for a trip to kusu island which is only a 15min ferry ride away and does not even involve using a passport..
pity last time when it was cheap to go there
and it was crowded during the peak season
i din noe how to take pix
haha

the temple that everybody goes to pray...well there's only 1 temple on the island

haha

the kusu kramat is act a malay shrine
altho it's a malay shrine
many mnay many chinese go there to pray for wealth
so juz by standing outside the shrine, u'll see rocks with a lot of 4D numbers written on them
and you'll frequently hear "HUAT AR!!" coming out from the shrine
hahaha

I dunno what's so special about this tree, but everybody prays to it and it's wrapped in a yellow cloth with a lot of numbers written on it..hahaha not hard to guess what are they praying for right?

apparently people who go into the shrine to pray are given a yellow ribbon, which some of them tie to the trees like the old ah ma in the pix...

There are also a lot of tortosies on kusu island...afterall tt's wad kusu island is known for rite?haha

den after kusu island, met maureen in town to buy stuff...n ya kun seems to have become a usual haunt for us on saturdays...wahahaha

den after that went to meet the ij gers for dinner..silly me didn't realise that they wanted to celebrate my bdae n lamu's bdae until the day itself..haha

i only haf 1 pix of the celebration..coz u noe i eat slow n if i also take pix i think i'll nv finish my food..wahaha anw hz was the unofficial photographer..so ger...u send all of us ur photos k? can send using yousendit.com so that the resolution won't be compromised..hahaha n i noe tt u read my blog so dun pretend tt u nv see...wahahahahaha n oh ya can u add me into ur msn...hmmm y am i not in ur msn contacts altho u r in mine??

den after dinner went clubbing @ zouk...thanx thanx gers for paying for me n lamu...altho i still think clubbing is expensive business..haha i looked horrendous..i wasn't wearing make up or contacts...i figured tt if i was gg to kusu island in the morning my make up would haf melted by the time i go clubbing...hahaha den throughout the whole nite i muz haf looked sleepy or stoned coz everybody kept saying tt i was sleeping..haha and the worst part was i was carrying so many bags....i meant to carry the small coach bag only, but reality din allow it..hahaha

aniwaez to quote jiabao "next time we just directly order 2 jugs first den go onto the dance floor" how true...hahahaha

after the last drink of the nite..haha...

this is juz the tip of the iceberg i believe..haha coz most of the pix r in jiabao's camera...hahaha

anw we left at ard 4.. den we cabbed down to geri's tpy hse to spend the nite or rather morning...so was rather stoned this afternoon coz last nite slept so little...

so i muz slp early tonite oterwise i'll juz be a zombie tmr when i go work...hahaha

yesterday while at kinokuniya
i came across a book on english baby names
so i juz randomly flipped thru it
n stopped at a name

feng po-po (chinese) goddess of the wind

i was like so utterly amused..
风婆婆?
or 疯婆婆?
makes a lot of difference u noe..
wahahaha
anw who wants to be called feng po-po as a name?
hw abt liang po-po?
hahahaha

moral of the story is when choosing names choose a language that u r familiar with...
otherwise u'll nv noe if it means sth else in a differnt language
wahahahaha

den collected my specs yesterday
now i kinda think it's a bit too big for me
altho my mum say it's not..
