went to help my mum buy the inner pot for the rice cooker juz now

it's at inchcape marketing building
den my mum keep telling me it's near the old railway station
ya as if i noe where's the old railway station

so i checked my trusty street directory
n relying on my wad-i-believed-to-be-a-good-memory
i went down to tg pagar
lo n behold my memory failed me
so i couldn't find the building
i went into safe2travel to ask where's tt place
the person said it was the building behind keppel towers
but i still couldn't find it
so i called the place
the person told me it was behind the building across the road from keppel towers
which was exactly where i came from
den she told me it was in the old customs
like it will help

finally i found it diagonally across the road
hidden by a big office block
in a place tt looks more like a warehouse..
haha
went for the ipho gathering on sat
ok la the ambience was qt gd
but
i think tt 25 bucks is really too ex for the dishes tt we had
so heart pain lor
eat crystal jade also not so ex lor
den i went to check my course outline for BF212
omigod
amaths n c maths are coming back to haunt me
n i returned all o it to mr chan n mrs soon liao..
anw went back to aj on fri
den discovered tt a lot of teachers haf left
even ms diana sim my gp tutor
so mrs soon is the last of my tutors who's still in aj
n her daughter is also in aj..
haha
den aj has also become more english speaking
qt surprised by this change

i'm having ipho-withdrawal symtoms
i miss getting high on nth wif the gers on the bus
gg crazy searching for toilets to bathe in
bullying n teasing poor ee teng
haha
playing bridge n tai ti
instead of attending the nobel laureates' talk
heck i even miss the late night meetings
altho i'll always be half asleep by then
i also miss my delegates
altho they a bit apathetic
but they can be crazy when they want to
esp in bullying n suaning me n yu guang
haha
i miss the international mix of pple
all speaking diff languanges
i miss juz gg to the lounge n juz enjoying the compnay of whoever's in the lounge at that time
i miss the room in hall 16
most importantly i miss juz having the responsibility of an slo in ipho
now i'm back in the real world
where many responsibilties are waiting for me
in ipho my tiredness was the result of the physical demands of the job as well as the lack of sleep
now back in the real world
my tiredness is a result of the physical as well as the mental demands
juz thinking abt it makes me tired
responsibilty as a comm member
having to juggle the multiple responsibilities of the job
dealing wif the uncertainty of whether Cha Dian will succeed
n the lack of support for it
it's always harder to sell tix for a drama performance den a band or dance performance
it's juz like a watching a show
is it tt difficult?
pple always haf this mentality that if u r not performing y shud i cum watch the performance
not tt i blame them
sometimes i do feel this way too
but do they see the sweat n tears n blood behind the performance
the effort put in by the organising comm
the time put in by the organising comm is definitely much longer
the stress of the organising comm
the fears of the organising comm
we try to put up a confident front for other pple
but deep down we all share the same fear
the fear that our performance will fail
as a cousin cum niece cum tuition teacher-it's like trying to juggle a PR job
having to be careful of wad i say n do
giving tuition is a tiring job
it saps up my time n energy n leaves me mentally drained
as a daughter
all i can say is tt i came home at the wrong time
oh y can't the world be a simpler place
or did i make it more complicated for myself?

came back this morning at 7am
str frm the airport after sending off the greek delegates
i muz say i'm gg to miss them...
they r a great bunch of guys...
ipho was a great experience overall
met a few new frens
but sadly din get to spend much time wof maureen
cha bor our movies r still unwatched..
haha
partly coz i was always too tired to watch
haha
but some things happened which made me qt disappointed wif ntu
den got to stay in hall 16
damn shiok wor
altho muz climb upstairs for the toilet n it's far away frm the dining hall
but it's really comfy
partly coz it's a single room
the food ar..
ok la..
whether it's nice or not it depends..
some days it's nice some days it sux..
den got a lot of shuai ges
both singaporean n foreigners

the guys took the 745 flight back to greece
so they checked in n we shooed them into the restricted area soon after
it was qt a sad moment
but i guess my partner n i were too tired to feel much
haha
den after tt came home n slp from 7+ all the way to 6pm
den it muz be all those late nights n lack of slp
i woke up wif a flu
so now i'm still sneezing my head off...

argh!!
damn it
the stupid stars
n whoever who took my core..
now i can't register for 1 of my cores coz it clashes wif another module
n i can't drop 1 to take another coz the slots wif vacancies for both fall on the same day n at the same time
somone tell me wad to do...
so irritated
so now i'm parked dumbly desperately in front of the com praying that someone will drop tt module or change timeslot
hopefully someone will take pity on me...
the only thing good tt came out of it is tt i got to slack
i missed the morning part of the training
n got to eat chilli crab
slurpz
feel like eating some more..
now i'm missing the slo practice item
i think i need practice in tt
but heck la
at first they only needed us to coordinate our hand movements
now they want us to make some leg movements as well
n lishan finds it difficult to coordinate both her hands n legs n her brains..

juz came back frm day 1 of the ipho july camp..
i'll admit it's the most comfy camp i've been to
no sweating it out on the diff elements
juz seating in the LT listening to their briefings
actually there was some sweat la
due to the weather being too hot n humid
so juz standing there can make u sweat
actually most of my bus ppl r staying in hall thru out the 2 weeks
but i really miss my bed..
wahaha
i've got a real excited partner
she juz keeps bugging me abt things
like when r we making the welcome signs?
wad are we making as welcome gifts?
wad r we getting as farewell gifts?
qn 1 was answered in the itinerary
qn 2 eunice alr msged all of us abt it
hmm whether if she was referring to getting another welcome gift on our own
qn 3 i guess is a more valid qn..
she wants to make a photo slides for the delegates
prob: r computers widely used in greece??
wadeva la..
there was this time she asked if we shud wear a greek costume to the farewell banquet
i got a shock..
haha
ya this is the only camp tt i'm bringing party dresses n heels
n toking abt heels
i had a bloody hard time looking for them!
i needed to haf black covered shoes for the opening ceremony
since i nv had any interest in black
neither did i haf any interest in covered shoes
so i had no idea where to find them
actually my criteria for the shoes were
nice reasonably priced comfortable black covered shoes with low heels
tt proved to be too much
haha
black shoes are easy to buy
charles n keith haf them
but
they were the pointy types
so comfort's out
nxt place u think of is Bata rite
not comfy n not nice
out too
so i had to go all the way to town to look for them
most of those tt i saw were either too pointy or too expensive
at first my budget was in the 20 range
tt was impossible
so it went higher
n higher
n in the end i found my nice black covered not-so-reasonably-priced with not-so-low heels n i-dunno-abt-the-comfort-coz-i-haven't-worn-them-yet pair of shoes
at bugis after hrs of looking at n searching for black shoes
i dunno if my legs will be able to take the 2 hr walk from suntec to neptune restaurant in tt pair of shoes
hope we r not to walking to ny audi in tt heels too..
haha
anyway it's a gd thing tt my greek delegates r only arriving on sat
n in the afternoon
heard that austria is alr in singapore so that they can overcome jetlag
madness
the thing only officially starts on sat lor
USA is arriving on thurs to overcome jetlag too
den some countries are arriving in the middle of the night
like 0120 or 0340
i pity the SLOs in charge of them
den this ger in my bus she's taking m'sia
so funny they r arriving by train
so while the rest of us go to the airport to receive our delegates
she'll go to the train station
ok hope i'll be able to take lots of pix
esp wif the greek delegates
ya my partner's excited coz the greeks r good looking
so i think she'll juz drool when she sees them la...
k shud prob go slp now
coz haf to wake up early tmr to meet them at orchard for a familiarisation visit

i permed my hair on tues
the curls were qt tight den
now
not even 1 week after the perm
my hair is getting straighter n straighter by the day
is it supposed to be like tt?
i admit i prefer my curls to be like wad it is now
but there's no point if my hair becomes str not even 1 mth after i perm my hair...
