juz finished watching memoirs of a geisha
not bad..
the cinematography..n the acting is qt credible
for once i'm gg to agre wif the newspapers abt sth..
abt gong li's acting
it's good..
if she had had more scenes i think i'll start to detest her.
i would describe her character hatsumomo as a poisonous viper..
the ger who acted as little zhang ziyi is so pretty
her name is suzuka ohgo
she really looks like zhang ziyi
haha
but i feel that there will always be some instances when words can evoke some images or feelings in u tt a pix can't replicate..
i think this is the case with memoirs..
i think the impact of the book is greater
but all in all it's a good film...
den my impression of michelle yeoh is tt she's always in some kung fu or action flick
but this show has made me change my opinion of her
she looks really pretty in this show..

today is the day for rotting at home

on the first day of CNY
my mum woke us up at like 9+ when we only went to slp at 2+ the night b4
she say if we dun go down early the aunties will be gg for dinner
n she's not gg for the dinner
dots..
as if they gg for the dinner in the afternoon like tt..
den in the end we went to my grandfather's place at like 1+
n all my aunties were not there...
they all only came at like 4+..
n in the end we went wif them for the dinner...
but my mum being a vegetarian for the day..
she could eat any of the things tt we ate..
coz all got meat..
wad worser day to be a vegetarian than on the the first day of CNY..
haha
as we were too free in the afternoon
me my bro n my cuz
we decided to plan our after dinner activites
which was to go for a midnight show..
after much dilly dallying n indecisiveness..
we decided to go watch I not stupid too
n we managed to get 3 aunties n their families to join us
wahaha
best part is i din haf to pay for the movie!
haha
the show is not bad la
i think teenagers will be more likely to identify wif this show than the previous one...
i cried like mad lor..
den my bro was so irritated coz he was sitting beside me..
den i think my other cuz sitting beside me muz be wondering wad's wrong wif jie jie
cry until like tt..
but as typical of jack neo's shows
it's also qt funny at the same time
the way they try to use the teens lingo..

den after the show
which was like a 2+ in the morning...
we went to eat prata at thomson

so by the time we went back to my grandfather's hse
it was like 4+...

den yesterday
went to visit my great grandmother..
she damn cute leh..
i was sitting beside my bro
den she ask my bro
where is ur sis...
den eveybody pointed to me..
after tt act we wanted to go watch fearless
the 1135 show at balestier
but we spent like 1/2 an hr contemplating where my another uncle went
coz we would be stranded w/o his car
n also coz he nv bring his hp
when we finally able to leave
we sent my mum home coz she din wan to watch the midnight show
den after tt we went cwp to see if they any seats left
n only the front row seats were left
the rest all taken alr
so in the end we juz bought supper n came up to my hse
intending to watch memoirs of the geisha on my bro's laptop
but ar the quality like damn bad
n my auntie n uncle were too tired tt they juz fell aslp..
haha
den they gave up watching n went home..
haha

comms management lasted less than an hour...
he started at 245 n ended at 325
n my french lesson starts at 430
so i'm rotting in the fal now..
so nan de tt my lesson can end so early
but i can't go home..
if i go home now i'll be in time to watch my yu le bai fen bai..

the sch is weird today..
seems so empty n quiet..
the bus was full at 130..it was full juz now at 330..
i thot the peak period is like after 430..
haiz~ everyone's in a new year mood..

i did sth so stupid today..
i thot my comm meeting was at 2pm
so i purposely went late
den i was surprised to see no one
den i called my senior
den she say it's at 3pm
den i was thiniking when did they change the timing
den they said tt it was originally set at 3pm
there was no change ma
den i came back home
i looked at my post-it
den i realised tt ya i typed 3pm on the post-it
how blur can i get
dots..
my room lacks a fan..
the previous one died-ed on me after i accidentally bang into it
n it went crashing onto the floor
my mum says tt she's gg to buy me one nearer to new year
den she dun haf to wash the fan
but i dun see it materialising leh..
hope she gets it for me b4 new year..

life has still been the same
gg for tution
studying
working on the alumni things
boring...
the only consolation tt i haf this sem is tt there wun be so many projects
unlike last sem
i hope..
i seem to be out of the hse everyday

the whole thing is starting again..
dun even haf a day to slack at home
n i juz realised tt i got a french test on Feb 7
which is like after CNY
means got to study
den IT case is due Feb 3
so there goes my holiday

this year's new year is gg to be weird
without my grandma
coz last time we'll go over to my grandma's place for reunion dinner
but this year my mum has decided to juz haf a dinner for the 4 of us
she doesn't want to join the rest of my aunties for reunion lunch
i dunno y...
sometimes i juz feel that it her psychological barrier
she thinks tt pple will think differently of her juz because she has no money
so she purposely cut herself away from them...
i dunno la..
den normally my grandma will make a lot of good home cooked food for the 1st day of new year
but this year
they wun be gg down in the day anymore
they r juz gg to my aunty's workplace for dinner..
my grandma will be esp missed during occasions like this...

not having enuff slp again is taking it's toil
i'm becoming grouchy n irritable...

i kinda love my wednesdays when i do not haf make up lessons on them
coz they r my slackest days

1. I don't open up/warm up to people easily. It takes me a long while to be able to be able to talk comfortably with and to open up to people I know.With people whom I don't click with,no matter how long I've known you, I won't even be comfy enough to crap with you.Also, I'm not the kind of person who will take initiative, whether in arranging for meetings or otherwise..haha

2. I hate being woken up by a message or a phone call in the middle of the night because I'm a light sleeper and it takes me quite long to fall into deep sleep. Any emergencies/anything urgent/if you need someone to talk to, you can always reach me on my house phone,you can be sure I'll pick up the phone. An issue about the project at 3am in the morning does not constitute an emergency. Thank You.

3. I'm a TV fanatic. I can entertain myself with the few free-to-air channels that we have in S'pore.If my family applies for SCV, you won't be able to pull me away from the TV.haha

4. I'm terribly in fact deathly afraid of anything supernatural-whether real or fictional because I have an overactive imagination. Meaning ghosts-doesn't matter Chinese,Indian,Malay or English or any race, books or movies or shows with supernatural themes.So thank you no horror movies please.haha

5. I don't like the shape of my eyes.They are too droopy for my liking.In fact, they look like 'cockles' according to my mum.Plus i have very dark eye circles around my eyes, so i look literally like a panda..

went back to ij juz now..
the compound totally changed..
only thing tt was still the same is the technical block n the field..
haha
now the staff room damn big
got 2 levels
n according to jb there's a spiral staircase inside the staffroom
linking the upper n lower levels of the staffroom
actually got some parts of the sch they still made it like the old building
den they retained some furniture from the old building...
btw the canteen now is damn small
even smaller than aj's canteen
hmmm..
wonder how they haf their recess
den the canteen vendors totally changed..
so sad!
no more hotdog popiahs..
but now also not bad la..
got baked macaroni..
hehe
bern n i were commenting on how disproportionate the sch buildings look in contrast to the sch walls
the walls surrounding the sch seems to be dwarfed by the buildings inside
wahaha
the chapel act looks nice on the outside
with the stained glass
but inside i guess it's not fully furnished yet
coz it's totally empty
den the netball court is on the rooftop
oh ya
the track now
although is rubberised..
but
it's puny
it only has 4 tiny lanes..
looks more suitable for primary sch kids to run on..
haha
den the teachers
we didn't see many of them
n those tt we saw were bz
so didn't really get to tok to them..
but it was still qt nice to go back again
after 1 yr+
how nice if we can juz go for the masses in sch...
need to find time..

happie new year!!
i've got a cold..
got it from my bro..
idiot..
he was sick
fever, sore throat n flu
but he still went to his fren's hse for stayover
den after tt still went to my aunt's place..
stupid rite?
den i was at my aunt's place too..
tt's how i got the cold..
from him..

hmm..
went countdown on sat..
at the esplanade...
at first it was supposed to be 1 whole big grp of us go together..
but we were split into 3 grps
haha
coz we went at diff times
n we couldn't find each other
so we ended up countdown-ing at 3 diff locations..
haha
nvm...
at least from where i was
i had a good view of the fireworks...
wa!
so nice!!
after tt all of us walked down to meridien hawker for supper...
den the rest of them went to catch the family stone..
act i would love to watch it
if the show was not at 3.50am
haha
but then coz i was supposed to be sleeping over at my aunty's hse ma
so not very nice to create trouble for her..
den my cousins had to wait up for me to open the door for me...
so paiseh..
actually they were ready to crash liao
haha
den very funny..
when i got back..
my cousin said he was hungry
so we thot to heat up the leftover curry in the kitchen
but then my aunty n uncle had off-ed the gas switch b4 they went to slp
so we din noe where to on it
so we din dare to do anything to the gas stove
den we thot of mirowav-ing the curry
but then
we din noe if the bowls r microwavable
so we decided to take a gamble..
but we couldn't find the cling film to cover the top of the bowl
den we gave up on the curry
haha
in the end we raided the fridge
we ate up the apple strudel
some cookies
some chips
n the durian ice cream n the mango sorbet..
at 3+ in the morning
haha
den my aunty got a shock when she woke up the next morning
den in the afternoon when she took our another mango strudel to offer another aunty
she told us
heng u all nv discover this mango strudel..
haha

den last nite
we wanted to go eat kway chap at tp blk 92
wa i tell u
it's really nice n cheap
so we walked there from tp central
only to find out tt it was closed
so disappointed
den in the end we walked again to blk 75
the hawker centre
it was a looooong walk
but it's worth it
the food there also very nice...
the chicken wings,hokkien mee....
hey pple we shud go there some time..

den my aunties were very funny
they saw the way tt we all ate
den she said we'll eat them poor
so if we intend to go her hse every week
den she'll haf to fast on weekdays
to save the money for us to eat when we go over..
haha
